James Stockwood
Forwards Development Coach
James is a high performance athlete with a background in both rugby and football.
​
He began playing rugby with the Oshawa Vikings in 2022 and was selected for the Arrows Academy in 2023 before relocating to British Columbia to join Canada’s national development program, the Pacific Pride.
​
In 2025, He earned selection to represent Rugby Canada, gaining five international caps against Scotland, Romania, Japan, and the USA, including his first international start against Romania.
​
Prior to rugby, James was a high-level football player representing Team Canada U14 through U20.
James attended the University of Toronto where he was named to the OUA All-Rookie Team before being invited to the CFL Combine in 2024.
